NOTICE – The next meeting of the BR RC Club will be Tuesday May 4th at the Greenwell Springs Road Library at 7:00 PM

A reminder of fun to come:

Don’t miss the Family Day Fun Fly on Saturday, May 8th.  We’ll have flying, fund fellowship and food.  The later will be the worlds’ best jambalaya by our own Chief Chef Blackie Lejeune.  If you only come to visit and eat, it will be worth your trip. Be there, and bring the family!! Don’t miss it.

The annual Big Bird Fly-In has been re-scheduled to Saturday, September 25th.  CD Mike Goetzman will be recruiting ‘volunteers’ for this event.  More on this later.

I recently purchased an automatic glow driver from Nelson Hobbies to put on the YS-91 in the Edge-540.  It does not use a fixed throttle position to turn on the glow drive.  It monitors the resistance of the glow wire and when it drops (glow plug cools) it turns on power to the glow plug.  The instructions say that it can be used in place of the normal glow battery to start the engine.  I will let everyone know how it works out when I get it installed.

We will be reviewing the club rules at the next meeting.  I don’t know if there have been any changes, they look the same to me.  I have enclosed a copy with the newsletter, if you have any questions come to the meeting and join the discussion.
See you at the field!

We are still having the presentations after the meeting.  If you have something you want to present then by all means let us know.  The last list I saw was getting short.
